2011 Fall Leagues Registration is Open
To join a league or purchase a membership online, you must sign up or
login. You can sign up offline, just
download and fill out a paper form and mail in your registration, but do it
quick as leagues fill up fast!
Leagues are open to all. If you haven't curled before, sign up for a league (or Novice League) and take our pre-season lesson to get acquainted. If you curled in last year's league, you have until September 16 to confirm your spot in the same league or it will be given to another curler.
You may sign up for more than one spot in any league; refunds will be given until Sept 30. If you are
"wait listed", your money is always guaranteed to be refunded. Club membership dues are required once per year.
Membership dues support USCA Membership, MoPac membership and insurance fees, and provide these benefits.
League format will allow 9 teams, playing during 9 weeks. Each team will have 1 bye week.
New curlers joining a Novice League for the first time do NOT need to purchase an ECC Membership.

DIY: Dedicated Ice in a Year
Evergreen Curling Club is actively raising funds to provide a dedicated training facility for the Olympic sport of curling. We have a sensible, achievable plan to provide a portable ice rink within a leased commercial or industrial building in the Portland, OR Metro Area. We plan to start with two or three sheets of curling ice and then expand as needed.

Evergreen Curling Club directors, from left, Kris Klinkhammer and Eleanor Robertson, along with members Dana Watson and Barbara Brown.
At our DIY Pledge Dinner, we raised $108K in donations, loans and pledges from our 150 members. This combined with past savings from our 9 years of operation brings us a little more than half way to our project goal of $300K. Currently we are asking for support from all curlers and supporters nationwide. We also plan to seek grants and loans where available.
Please consider contributing to Evergreen's DIY effort to provide the first dedicated curling ice facility in the western US since 1961. There is a paypal button in the right column...If you prefer to write a check and mail it to us, you'll find our address on our DIY donation page

Next Steps for DIY Pledges
Dedicated Ice in a Year!
Thank you to all who attended the DIY Pledge Dinner on March 26th. It was a great success! We received nearly $66,000 in pledges at the dinner. When combined with board donations of $42k and a savings of $50k our total is now $158K. The thermometer shows our savings ($50k) plus our Fundraising goal of $250k, the total goal on the Thermometer is $300,000. which includes $50,000 for savings.
The response was so overwhelming that we immediately agreed to proceed to continue fundraising and build Dedicated Ice within a Year! Next step: reach the full membership... 100% percent participation of ECC curlers.
This means that all who pledged donations should now write checks payable to "Evergreen Curling Club" and give the check to ECC Treasurer, Bruce Irvin, at the rink on Sunday or Tuesday or send your check to:
Evergreen Curling Club
c/o Treasurer
P.O. Box 12162
Portland, OR 97212
If you could not attend the dinner but plan to contribute, please contact Bruce or send a check to the address above. Or email regarding loans and installment donations.
If you pledged a loan, then wait for Bruce to contact you about loan terms which we are now finalizing.
If you pledged a twelve month installment donation, then contact to set up a plan to pay your installments.
Stay tuned for more fund raising projects, or contact a board member and ask how you can help!
