Junior Curling

Introducing our new junior program for 2010!

Curling is a great extra curricular activity for middle school and high schoolers to get involved in. It provides juniors with numerous benefits: decision making, problem solving, and sportsmanship. In addition, curling offers valuable lessons in teamwork, etiquette, communication and leadership. Learn about Junior tournaments. Most of all, it's a blast for the juniors!

Opportunities

Evergreen Curling offers two types off opportunities for Junior Curling. The first option is Learning in the Gymnasium. We will come to your school with equipment to teach how curling works and give students the ability to curl in your gymnasium. The second option is Learn to Curl on Real Ice with other students and teachers. We will provide all the instruction and equipment. Parents are always welcome to these events.

Recently, Arnie and Joe visited two middle schools in Portland teaching 4th through 6th graders. Their gymnasium was packed with 60 kids during one session, the students were cheering eachother on to score points in the house! Many of the students we interested in curling on real ice. We have just the opportunity! See Below...

Learn to Curl on Real Ice

Usually, after students learn about curling, they want to try it! Evergreen Curling Club offers many opportunities to curl on real ice. In addition, continued curling is possible, forming a league to allow students to play against eachother and against other schools.

Cost is $5 per junior, and lasts aproximately 2 hours. We encourage you to sign up online for these events. Registration details and other sessions are available on the Learn to Curl page.

Curling - a great new experience.
