This is going to be an exciting year!  You will see lots of changes to the web site a lot of the Kudos can go to Joe Petsche!

However, I want to mostly talk about curling in this section of the blog. To give you an idea of what’s coming, I’m going to review curling videos and computer curling games… and relate my own curling experiences as they happen.

On going for me is finding a pair of curling shoes that fit me! I am blessed with wide W-I-D-E feet width DDDD, yes! that’s 4 D’s … Yikes.  My old curling shoes from my University days no longer fit!

When I was in Winnipeg last year (visiting my mother) I visited Atkins Curling Supplies… Asham Curling Supplies was still closed for the summer!

While at Atkins I purchase a chunk of  teflon sliding material and some gripper  material. They need to be attached to a pair of shoes… I have a pair of “World Wrap” skate shoes that I got from the Sports Authority last year, but I am not convinced they deserve to be converted into a dedicated curling shoe.  So, I’m still looking.  Because I have such W-I-D-E  feet I need to visit Brand Name Outlet stores… Nike and Adidas are on my list.  I’ll let you know how it goes…
